FROM EARTH TO EARTH: Like music, the quality of a wine consists of three components. First the instrument, the vineyard. Then the musician, the winemaker. And finally the acoustics in viticulture, the resonance - the connection with the archetypal forces of vine and vineyard.
Our instrument is the terroir between Vittoria and Chiaramonte Gulfi in Sicily, our homeland that saw us leaving as young men and returning hungry for redemption. Sicily is like that sometimes: to love it with all its facets, you need to look at it from afar and understand its charm, peculiarity, and potential.
Biagio and Vittorio are the musicians: two “Globetrotters” who have worked and gained life experiences far and wide between restaurants and wineries: we met and got to know each other while working in nearby wineries in Vittoria upon our return to Sicily. Both of us dreamed of expressing ourselves through a shared dream: making wine in our land. We joined forces: passion, willpower, grandparents’ hoes, and scissors.
The acoustics is the regenerative agriculture that we apply to the soils of our vineyards and olive groves. We help it to regain its natural balance and increase microbial life. We accompany our plants in their path and harvest the fruits with respect and gratitude.
All of this makes us serene and at peace with ourselves.. We are in harmony with our terroir and the wine we produce. We are AGRICOLA_VINB.
